It's been 554 days since we hit our last milestone with the 0.6 release and 235 days since the last maintenance release of 0.6.4.
With more than 18 months of development time under its belt it's safe to say we've put more fixes, improvements, and changes into our upcoming 0.7 release than we could ever possibly list in a post. With both custom content types and a new super-improved taxonomy system now mostly complete and over 300 tickets closed, it's well past time to unveil our latest and greatest to the world.
In what will hopefully be the first in a series of sneak-peak preview releases, we'd like to announce that the Habari 0.7 Developer Preview 1 release is ready and waiting for download!
Don't let the name scare you. The Developer Preview is geared towards theme and plugin developers but it should also be stable enough for regular users to experiment with it. Most of us have been running our live sites off of it for a while now, but we're not quite ready to suggest that you make that leap...

There are lots of tickets still pending for the 0.7 release, but please help us out by reporting any bugs you might find! As always, we're available on the developer mailing list and several of us are raging IRC addicts if you've got any other questions, problems, or feedback!

I'm really looking forward to installing 0.7! But I'm concerned about what changes I'll have to make to my 0.6.4 theme. Will there be instructions/guidelines written somewhere about what changes we'll have to make to our themes?
